BJJ and Martial Arts Classes

We offer classes for every level, and everyone receives that important individual attention they need. All classes start on-time so please show up 10-15 minutes early. To keep classes sized right for the trainers we ask you use the Thrive Vagaro App to sign up for the class you are attending.



Kids Jiu Jitsu 4 - 6 years

  • Mondays & Wednesdays
    3:30pm – 4:15pm

By combining techniques of coordination, discipline, socialization, self-defense our Kids naturally build confidence. This is part of the learning process.  Classes have the kids role playing in a safe environment engaged in a real life combat situation trying to grapple their way into a dominant position or escaping an uncomfortable and compromising situation. .

Kids Jiu Jitsu 7-10 years

Students learn real self-defense and how vitally important these habits are; eating healthy foods, sleeping correctly, and stretching daily to body maintenance. These skills then spill over to other sports and daily activities in their lives and aids in making them more successful.

Kids Jiu Jitsu 10-14 years

Focus and Body awareness…Brazilian jiu jitsu is very different than traditional martial arts because you use what you learn every class with your training partners. Self Esteem building as they gain core strength, and have more energy and stamina for daily activities.

The Jiu Jitsu Lifestyle opportunities test the student and measure improvement; competition, receiving the next belt, executing a new technique against a new opponent.  Through the learning process in Jiu Jitsu students learn to reach a little farther and work a little bit harder.


Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a style of competition in which fighters are allowed to use both striking and grappling styles to win by knockout (KO), submission (tapout), technical knockout/referee stoppage (TKO), or judges’ decision. The popularity of MMA events like the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Bellator, and the World Series of Fighting mean there are millions of fans — and plenty of people eager to train.

Kid’s mixed martial arts at Thrive Jiu Jitsu  is a proven program of striking, throwing and grappling, to provide children with a complete set of martial skills. But there’s more! Kids learn from exceptional martial artists—with years of experience—who work with children on winning techniques, sound strategies and strength of character.

Kids MMA class utilizes the best of the arts of Boxing , Wrestling, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and many other sport based martial art systems.


Women’s Jiu Jitsu

Why women should train jiu jitsu, because it teaches you how to protect yourself. Brazilian jiu jitsu is designed for weaker, smaller opponents to dominate larger ones using technique rather than strength. A woman in the United States has 1 in 5 chances of being assaulted in her lifetime, it make sense that jiu jitsu is perfect self defense for women that are usually smaller and weaker than the people most likely to assault them.

This high energy Brazilian martial art combines self-defense techniques, acrobatics, music, dance, and culture. Capoeira is one of the few activities where men, women, and children can participate on an equal playing ground.  In capoeira, there is no discrimination of size, age, or ability. Capoeira will make you stronger and fitter than you ever imagined. It will help you to develop more strength, endurance, flexibility, and agility. Beginners are so welcomed, skills improve at your level.
